BIO

Jerry Sereda is a Canadian Country Recording artist from Dauphin, Manitoba who has been a long time fixture on the Winnipeg music scene. He began writing songs in 2003 with a style that combines the descriptive storytelling of classic country crooners with the upbeat rhythms of modern country music and a singing style that has been compared to the “styles of country rockers Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw.” (Grassroots News, June 26th, 2007)

Jerry has gained popularity playing hundreds of shows in Manitoba (including Dauphin Country Festival 3 years in a row), parts of Canada (showcased in Edmonton and Toronto at the Canadian Country Music Awards) and even the U.S. (WE Festival). He has also opened for great Canadian and US artists such as Johnny Reid, Shane Yellowbird, Dierks Bentley, and Jason Blaine.

Currently, Jerry has a management and development contract with Contact Artist Management, who is also the home of country artist Jason Kirkness, Ron Loutit, and previously handled development and management for Bryce Pallister . Jerry has also signed a Record and Distribution Deal with MDM Recordings/EMI Canada.
Jerry has just released his second studio album “Turn The Country On” featuring writers like Lee Brice, Eric Church, Murray Pulver and Chris Thorsteinson and many more. Jerry released the first single off the album, “Ain’t Learned Nothin’ Yet,” to see it debut at #39 and peaking at #1 on The National Aboriginal Top 40 Countdown. The song then went on to hit #53 on Mediabase and #56 on BDS. Jerry was a recipient of the APTN First Tracks video production grant helped him create the video for the single. It was first released nationally on APTN and was then in medium rotation on CMT Canada. His second single, “Morning After The Night Before” released to radio this past spring, Jerry continued to see success when his second release slide into the Top 50 again on both BDS and Mediabase as well as coming in at #16 on the Billboard Canada Country Charts. Jerry spent time touring throughout Canada promoting the new single as well as saying hello to all the great country radio stations that have supported him. Jerry was in Hamilton this past year playing the EMI/MDM Recordings After Party on September 11th , as well as taking in all of the CCMA events during Canadian Country Music Week.

He is now ready to release his third single from the album entitled, “My Hearts Got A Memory,” a single penned by Eric Church and co-writer and Nashville veteran, Stephanie Chapman. Along with releasing the single to Canadian Country radio January 16th, there will also be the release of the video for the same song!

With performances coming up locally at Festival du Voyageur and across Canada in Edmonton, Saskatoon and 100 Mile House, BC and new gigs coming in every day, Jerry is set to keep the momentum going on over drive in the coming year.
